What is ASNT?

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc. (ASNT) is a technical society composed of more than 21,000 members and certificate holders in addition to 700 Corporate Partners that are involved in nondestructive testing (NDT). Membership in the Society is open to any individual or company with NDT concerns. The Society sponsors conferences, tradeshows, seminars, and topical meetings, plus an array of print and multimedia products to present the latest information on NDT techniques, as well as emerging areas for future study and development.

What Is Nondestructive Testing?

Nondestructive testing is examining an object or material in a manner that does not impair its future usefulness. Nondestructive testing is exactly what its name implies—testing without destroying.
